Anybody else catch this episode. I thought it was the best show to date for obviouse reasons but then Jesse got in the Monster Crawler... It was a damn shame what he did to that rig. Oh well, he can afford to do stuff like that, since the Discovery Channel foots the bill. Anyway those guys could have had that rig shop shape with some good trail mechanics:-) They really knew what they were doing. (Except for Jesse, what a hack.)

Yeah, it was on yesterday. I only saw the begining and the end. I didnt catch how they turned the POS bronco with bad engine into a rock crawler and come in the under $4000 budget.

I did see the end where Jesse tore up the truck those guys had just spent a week working on. I would off been pissed. The thing looked pretty good.

This episode sure was better than some of the others. Like the pt crusier and what not.

They should turn a disco into something. It would be funny to watch those guys butting heads with LUCAS.

It sure would be nice to have those Pro Rock 60's sitting under the Disco somehow. Has anyone done an axle swap of sorts? A beefier axle would be so much nicer.

I with you Rob. with that much in freebies why bother with a budget, time seems to be the major factor.

Why try and roll that thing! Poor rock crawler. Jesse just does not understand that kind of driving, he just guns it.

I thought the same thing. He trashed it SO fast! Although, I'm not a fan of rocks. I like mud because you can gun it. If it wasn't my $, it would be fun to gun it on the rocks. I thought it was pretty funny that the one thing they had to pay for was the one thing that broke.

The D shaft broke because one of the tabs that was welded onto the frame for the front links broke. The weld popped right off and he kept at it so the drive shaft said fuck it I quit..

I really could care less about him breaking it. We all know it would have happened sooner or later, but what a HACK(Have I said that yet?). I just hope they release a detailed "how to". I want to build that exact rig, except as a Land Rover and with portal axles.

he actually didnt break the drive shaft, it just pulled apart..

Also, FWIW, high angle drive lines did donate the shafts, yet they said they paid for them (????)

I thought it was pretty sad how they didnt clean up the fluid they spilled all over the course(at least they didnt show them cleaning it up). Kind of gives the people who want to close our trails more ammunition to use against us.

The discovery channel (or the west coast choppers advertising network) seems to gear the Monster Garage show to 13 to 20 year old males. So Jesse James ,destroying the rig and showing the oil slick goes well with that mentality or target age group. I'm sure they cleaned it up, but thats not very "extreme" to show on TV, but gunning the shit out of the truck to break it on purpose, now that's "extreme".
