I was recently visiting Ireland and was in a surf shop in the town of Dingle when I happened to run into Ireland's G4 challenge driver Paul McCarthy who is a stone mason in Ireland. For me it was really neat. He said there was little to no interest in Ireland to try out for it and he basically did it "for laughs" as he called it. He said he was paired with the American girl for several of the events and came in fourth overall. Just thought I'd share.

Brett

That's pretty sweet. How was the trip overall? We've been looking to head that way. Let us know if you're up for some trail rides this summer. We're looking for something since FLRCs next event is in November.

Brent, Hey the trip was great. We rented a Series II with the td5 engine and loved it. There are so many neat rovers over there. I stopped by several of the dealerships and its amazing how different the market is for rovers over there than here. They market rovers predominantly as work vehicles to be used for work and jobs where a vehicle such as that is absolutely needed. Very small market for the rovers as personal daily drivers, except freelanders. Discovery's and Range Rovers are considered far too expensive to own for any other purpose but as work where they are neccesary. Ireland is great though we had great weather, got to see some of the country and cities and visited more pubs than you could imagine. What a beautiful areas. Let me know if you are planning on going Brent or anyone else and I can give far more details of what is worth visiting or what we enjoyed the most.
