you could make bring some mounts long ways off your brush gaurd in a W form and they might fit. It might look funny, but not if done right. |

If you fit a shit load of lights on your truck you might need to upgrade your alternator. |

You can also weld some mounting tabs to the top of the bar, and mount some up there. |

2 4000's is all you'll get on the front bar. You can make 3 500's fit, though...FWIW... |

I get plenty of light with the two 4000's I have up front. I believe the brush bar from $G is designed for three if you must have three. http://www.safarigard.com/ Yep, right there on the home page. |

Zach is right. even two Hella 4Ks won't fit so that they work. The problem is not the width, but the height of the brush bar. The lights just end up tilting down.

black magic lights measure 8 7/16" high and my brush bar is 11" high where i'm able to mount the light so there would be no problem with them bending down. i dunno what kind of a-frame bar you have but my brush guard is nothing like it. |

Brian, trust us...we know what we're talking about. You WILL NOT BE ABLE TO FIT 3 BLACK MAGIC LIGHTS ON A FACTORY BRUSH BAR AND MAKE IT LOOK NICE. If you do get it to work, it will look like shit. If you want 3 lights, either get a SG bumper or go with 500's. Hell, I'm getting a new bumper soon, and I'll send you MY factory bar that's already GOT 3 holes in it. |

The height is not the problem---you wouldn't even be able to fit them if they were all touching. |

Chris- Look at Brian's profile. He's 16. He will not listen. Just needs to waste his money on the lights and fit them to actually see that they will not fit. That is fine by me. It's his money. Eventually he will buy a bumper or rack and have a real use for those lights. |

Yes he is a younging, as am I. He is just a little stuborn thats it. He will waste his money on stuff since he knows he is right (which in this case he is clearly wrong). And like you said it is HIS money so he can waste it all he wants... |

Brian, easy fix: sell your rover, buy a toyota, and do whatever the fuck you want to it. people won't make fun of you if you have a botched up toyota, because that's what they would expect. Call me when you get stuck. |

Brian, be sure to take pictures and show us all how you rig it. Maybe we'll learn something. It happens that I am about to mount 6 Hella 3000s on my Defender (TWO up front and four up top), and am wondering if any of you all have tried running more than two lights on a single circuit (wire, relay and switch)? I would like to route a single high-guage wire through the roll bar to make it super-clean. Thoughts? |

I have 3 on one circuit on the front brush bar...NOT 4000's (obviously). I also have 4 FF300's on the rack running on the same switch...straight-wired, though...I've been meaning to stick a relay in there for months... |

Assume those are 500s? Similar power going through the line, so perhaps that is A-OK... Just waiting for John Lee to upbraid me for not making a perfect technically flawless harness. ;) |

Correct--500's for now, but I'm about to re-do the front end with RTE slimline bumper/2 Hella 4000's/Warn 9.5ti. Anyway, the 500's are wired to my brights, and I have never had any problem at all with them. Just make sure you use T-taps or something like that on the wires instead of splicing the cheap bastard way. Good luck. Zach |
