I was wondering if pistons are available from any aftermarket manufacturers? I know Land Rover OEM .20 over pistons are available but they are spendy. Anyone like TRW etc make pistons that will work in the Land Rover 3.9 liter? Thanks in advance, Chris |

Piston companies will make any size piston you want. But if you think Rover pistons are spendy, wait until you see their prices! As for stock items, I don't think you'll find anything in the US. -P |

Given things like compression height, number of rings, wrist pin size, you might just find a piston that will work. Years ago, I worked on a Jaeger cement mixer built in 1922. We ran a Vega piston in it. If you had a kind counter man at a parts shop/automotive machine shop, you might be able to have them measure the pistons to find a replacement. |
