Hear is my problem, my left rear bumper turn signal will not work.
These are the things I have tried:
Fuse is OK.
Put in new light bulb. (Did not work!)
Put in the right side bulb that worked on the right side and it did not work on the left side.
Voltage meter says that it is getting the right amount of juice.
Cleaned the contacts.
Drove the darn thing in the lake! Just kidding, any help or suggestions would be gladly accepted.
Thanks for your help.

have you cut out the resinator on your exhust? If that is so, you might have melted the connections if you didn't get the muffler shop to angle it downward.

No, everything is stock and it has not had any modifications, plus the voltage meter is picking up the right amount.

John, I had the same problem with my 95 Disco, I too was also getting the right amount of power, the problem seemed to be with the bulb housing. Did you try to wiggle the bulb into the housing, I had to press the bulb down on the housing with electrical tape to keep it in place making contact.

Might it be a bent contact so the center-end contact of the bulb is not touching/making a connection in the socket? Had this happen to me with an old AC light socket, good bulb, there was power on the meter but it did'nt work until I bent the center tab back up (yes, I switched the breaker off first).

Mine's the same way... It happens once every couple weeks. With my truck if I wiggle the connector on the back side of the turn signal / bumper it kicks back in. I've been meaning to find a more permanent fix but haven't got around to it yet.
