Isn't that backwards?

lean = less oxygen, less power, better fuel mileage
rich = more oxygen, more power, worse fuel mileage

That's always what I understood or am I backwards?

Is there a code/check engine light?

I checked the code box and found (44). so i pulled the os/sensor on the left side. It was full of carbon, so i cleaned it and put it back.
I also pulled the stepper motor and found it full of carbon. I cleaned the carbon off and replaced it. Then reset the code box and still got the (44). can you clean on o2/sensor or do i just have to buy a new one. thank you Jon

If its a 95 check the timing, that will cause it to run rich if its advanced.
