Mine squeled for about 6 months and just stop. Sometimes it will happen randomly. My brakes are fine. Could just have shat it them.

Brian, how is your truck? how old are your rotors and when was the last time you changed the brake pads? I ask this questions becuase I was suffering from the same thing. If your rotor is damaged or has deep grooves you will get very loud squeels almost every time you stop. Also if you rotors are old and you just installed brand new brake pads, sometimes the outer lip of the rotor matched with a brand new pad can make it squeek, you'll just have to wait for your new pads to adapt to the old rotor, finally some brake pads specially stock are made out of very hard materials that sometimes make the brakes squeak, the dealer told me to wear them down by finding a long road getting the car up to speed and wear the pads down by braking hard a few times. Hope this helps

My brakes squeal at normal highway speeds ever since I put new pads on (Mintex from AB) both front and back.

My rotors were not turned and of course had deep grooves in them but are well within spec. I'll try the anti squeal stuff.

Is this normal to squeal at highway speeds without the brakes on? Have checked them and seem fine, I'll try putting some heavier springs on them. Maybe that will work.

they will squeal you cant stop it, either roll up the windows or get used to it. Do your brakes work well? Be happy if they do and forget the squeal, you could have bigger problems.--Matt

FWIW:

Take out the pads and grind down a 45 degree bevel on the leading edge of the pad...

You, and anyone who reads this won't be sorry...
