I dont see why everyone is so scared to cut the fenders. I like them better cut, looks a little cleaner without all that extra aluminum back there. No one can tell I did it. In my opinion cutting looks alot nicer than the fender spacing method.

Brain, nut up and break out the saw!

I hear you on that Dan! As long as you take your time and get a nice clean line, trimming the fender comes out really nice.

And don't forget that the MT/R's run small, so you may not have to do as much as you originally thought.

Dont have any pics. I need to learn how to use a digital camera to post them. I'll stear you in the right direction. When I did mine I made it look just like Jabe Gabe Guay's truck. He has a write up in the tech section, under the "Fender Trimming" tab, his is the second one down. Look at the two pictures on the right side. Cut the metal on yours untill it looks like that. See how clean it is. Mine came out that way too. So will yours.

The thing is, when you cut it with the saw or dremal the cut will be really ragged. But the panel is aluminum. You can file it down untill its perfectly smoth and straight. I used the file on my leatherman tool for this, not exactly high tech, but it worked great.

Look at your fender and then look at the pictures of Gabe's fenders. Cut out all the extra bent over aluminum that yours has untill it looks like Gabe's. I run 245/75/16 without any life (yet). If you cut that much and lift 1 1/2 inches your fine.

Cutting fenders is not a big deal...don't be a pussy---break out the dremel and hit it. I have a pattern if you want to trace it on to the wheel well. You'll be glad you did down the line...and yes, it does look better opened up a bit. I've cut all 4 of mine.

the limited pictures I have in my photo gallery all show cut fenders Brian. Nobody has ever commented on them so I assume nobody notices, I cut them because I used aftermarket wheels w/ a different offset and kyle's od wasn't enough. If I could have I would have not cut simply because it does seem like a silly thing to do if you don't HAVE to, but it really isn't bad if the need ever arises. My front fenders have some triming now too BTW.
