Is it possible to fit the 2003 headlamps on a Disco II 1999? if so, what modifications need to be made if any?

Thanks

Anything is possible, but they aren't a drop-in replacement, that's for sure. The lights on the '99 mount at the rear of the lamp with bolt/plastic clip things. You can remove the lights by hand. '03+ lights are held in with three bolts, two on the top, and one on the inboard side behind the front grille. There is also a peg that fits into a hole on the outboard side body panel that wouldn't be present on a '99.

I haven't seen them side-by-side, but the service diagrams look quite different, especially since the indicator light on pre-'03s is a separate unit.

No, but you can refit the facia of a 1972 Ford Pinto to a Camel Trophy D1.

You know, as much as I have to replace headlamp assembly's from water and tree intrusion; I am glad I don't have to buy those fancy 03 versions for replacements.

Another superior feature of RRC=7" rounds :-)

Low cost-as little as $7 for cheapie sealed beams and still only $40 for hella or bosch E-codes.

Admit it, you're jealous!
