need help I own a 94 Disco (3.9 auto) The problem is with the brakes, when I apply pressure to the brake pedal, the brakes hold for a couple of seconds then the brake pedal kicks back up and at the same time a motor can be heard going off and on and a sound of a spring that is being released. The brake pads and rotor are in great shape.
any help would be appreciated.

the motor is and the kick back is the anti lock, just how hard are you braking? is it a constant thing or hit and miss? what kind or road surface are you on when this present itself?

when you start up the car and begin to drive does the anti-lock brake light turn off on your dashboard if not then you probably got a problem with those. i experienced about the same thing you did after some hard offroading.
