Yeah, I know, I should upgrade to a U-Joint. Don't have the cash right now. Anyway, I'm replacing my Rotoflex coupler, and the bushing that fits into the end of the drive shaft is stuck in there. Any ideas on how to get that bitch out ? P.S. Thanks, Nathan, for the fast delivery. -Tom |

Well, it took about 45 min to get it out. I used the Homer Simpson Scool of Auto Mechanics and bashed the hell out of it from the edges until it was crushed into a triangle. Jammed a carriage bolt, head first into it, bashed it closed, slipped a box wrench over the carriage bolt, threaded a nut after it, whacked the wrench with a hammer and the bushing inched it's way out. Having a puller handy would have saved all that. Doh! |
