Okay, this isn't a Disco specific post, but it is marginally technical, so I'm putting it here. I just bought a bike rack for my Disco, and there are two clamping bolts that attach to the rack, but the thread size for the bolts is too small for the nuts that are permanently welded into the unit. Is there a way to re-tap the nuts, or can you only re-tap from a smaller thread size to a larger size? Even if it is possible, I don't have the tools necessary - where should i go to borrow the tool for two quick taps? I'd rather not pay for the job. The bolts and nuts are (from my measurements) 3/8". I'm going to call the company that makes the rack on Monday, but I don't have time to jerk around with them sending another part, etc. Thanks!

Thanks, Tony. The replacement bolts is probably not an easy idea, as they are fairly long, with handles for twisting. I think I might just find a mechanic with a tap and die set...or I'll just splurge!
