after 2 years of trying to figure out why i was loosing coolant i finally have it licked. of course i went through the typical hose check, water pump replacement and "is it my head gasket" routine. the expansion tank was always maintaining preasure. the fix....i replaced the small metal expansion tank with the larger plastic tank and mounting bracket from a 97' disco. this stopped the need to refill the metal expansion tank every 1.5 days. also, i do not have constant preasure on the tank. what can i say...it worked. |

Good to here. I have been chasing mine also. Been through all the hoses, water pump, thermostats, leak down tests, and just put in a larger radiator. I'll try the plastic tank if my problem continues. |
