I'm looking into lifting my Discovery 3inches. I was ready to buy the HD OME Coil Springs, and possibly some spacers but heard I should get the rear HD springs for the front and The XHD for the rear.. Then I was told I would need the OME shocks to lift the truck otherwise the springs won't lift the truck properly?? I'm a little confused now!?! Just looking for suggestions on lifting my truck as close to the 3in mark as possible without altering my suspension or steering components.. and anyone know any ome spring dealers in Ontario, Canada??

Well I know that I bought a Rovertym lift, with OME HD shocks and Rovertym springs. It was te 2in lift kit, but I actually have about 3 inches of total lift. |

You will need at least OME + 1" spacers or a true 3" from one of the other vendors. OME springs alone will not do the lift to 3", but spacers will help. You might as well get some good shocks on there at the same time. If you are looking for a lift >=3" it is possible that you may need new driveshafts, radius arms and trailing links. |

I have 3" RTE springs with Rancho 9000's on my '95 Discovery, and have had no problems at all. It is actually a little bit more than 3", because I don't have the extra weight of a winch bumper yet. Going on 2 years with no problems, and John is a breeze to work with. |

I went with the 3" green monsters from Northwest Parts and got over 4" with them (saggy old OEM springs). I love them. I haven't had to do anything to the drivetrain and they are stiff enough that you can take the antisways off without major handling repercussions. |
