I'm having a real hard time saying "Shame on you" about the Hummer owner.

i don't see what he did wrong? i could care less what happens to people that end up sticking a gun in your face. if they die no big loss. you threaten my life......i threaten yours.
maybe next time those guys will think twice about pulling out a gun. that is if they are ever given one.
i give the guy credit for having the balls to make sure justice was taken out swiftly and with immediate recourse.
but then again i am sure plenty of attorneys are all over this.

yup, the hummer guy will get sued and lose all of him money and his life pretty much. Since technically he did do something wrong. It is sad because everyone would have done what that guy did if they had the balls, but or court system blows.

I've always believed that if Osama was captured and went through our justice system, he stands a good chance.

That story was on FOX News last night. They showed a video of the Hummer sitting on top of another car. I thought it was pretty cool until they mentioned that the Hummer guy could get charged.

Sad thing is, they were caught by a Hummer. What kind of getaway car is that!

Man, it seems like Phoenix is getting a lot of press lately. Between this guy running over some suspects car wit his hummer, the Arizona Cardinals star who rammed his wifes Mercedes with an H2 (probably would have gotten high centered if he did actually make it up the hood of the Mercedes :-)), and a catholic bishop that was under the gun for some child-sex scandals, and now a fatal hit and run accident, it is no wonder the insurance is so high around here.

Ahhhhhhhhh the desert. And summer is only beginning.

Jess

Temporary Insanity..."I don't remember anything after the gun was pointed in my face."

No jury would convict.

So is the crushed car really a disco? Look at the wheels.

Disco gets crushed by Hummer! The shame of it all.

You know this will be interesting to watch. On one hand the jack asses deserved it but on the other I can really see this guy facing charges since it seems the matter did go a little beyond self-defense. Personally I think the outcome was pretty cool and deserved.

Look at the poll results. 84% of people think the Hmmer driver should NOT face charges. I hope the same people are on the jury when that poor guy gets sued. I hope those two bastards die

He was no longer in fear of grievous bodily harm. What he did was criminal. May have been justified, but the prosecutors will see it as criminal.

That sounds like attorney talk Paul, I tend to agree with you that is how it will be seen despite my own personal thoughts on it. It gets hard to justify just wanting his money back with his hummer sitting on top of their car. That is unless they can find that he was mentally unstable or some thing to justify it.

Well...being the official Hummer guy on this swell forum...I can honestly say that I haven't a damn clue what the heck that Hummer ran over.

What's more perplexing is how the Hummer caught upto them AND how he managed to get up on top that well? Ya think he BTM'd or used lockers?

I agree that if you mess with me I get to mess with you...BUT, that owner used what lawyers will argue was "lethal force" in running those punk-ass skum over....and since he was (at the time) not presented with a life-threatening situation he will not find his use of his vehicle in such a manner acceptible.

Public opinion shows him in favor with some 84% of people for not prosecuting him, but that won't wash with the courts: it sends a message that you can do this vigilante thing and get away with it.

Perhaps if he were in a Range Rover he could get away with it...but not in a Hummer. :-)
