I'd say you have a brake pad getting hung up in the caliper, probably due to the anti-rattle springs and locating pins being "grunged up". Pull the pads, blow the brake dust out of everything and clean the springs and pins. Then lube the back of the pads with copper-based brake lube and put everything back together. 9 times out of 10, that will take care of it.

My left front does the squeak when I am at 20-50 mph and in a right turn. Stops with brake pressure. I hope it is not the bearing, but I don't know what else to look for if it happens to be something else in the brake system. Are there any symptoms to be seen from outside? And can I use the pins and springs again if I am just pulling them to clean the pads, etc...?

Check the dust shield behind the discs. Sometimes sloppy mechanics hangs the wheel on the top side of disc during remount(freeing their hands to scratch their ass or something) This can bend the dust shield just enough to make contact with the rotor resulting in a metal to metal squeaking noise especially while turning as more weight causes the bearings to flex slightly and move the disc closer to the dust shield.

hey guys i have this same sound coming from the right from tire, but i dont think it stops when i hit to brakes. in fact it doesn't make the rattleing squeek sound when i drive on flat well paved even surfaces it happens when the road is bumpy. i climbed under the Disco reached up around the inside and checked the dust shield it wasn't bent. i also tried to pull and shake and rattle everything under the right side near the wheel. nothing wass loose or rattleing. someone on Dweb recommended greasing the Ujoints, i havent tried that yet. i also grabbe the grille gaurd and pusshed the front end up and down and the shocks and springs are sorta soft and i heard a little creaking but nohing like what i hear when i'm driving. can anyone give me some clues as to what this noise may be?

Cut some old caliper springs in half and insert the extra half spring with full spring Extra pressure will hold pads back and stop squealing problem

if you have been mudden then it's possible you go all kinds of grit and crap on the rotors...it happened to me and i just took all the wheels off put anti-squeel on the back of the pads and the squeaks stopped

Eventually that would burn off. Just like rust--if you leave it sitting for a while, notice the rust that forms on the rotors. Once you brake some, though, it wears off and looks good as new. Get some semi-metallic pads--they are really easy to change, and don't take much time at all.

Well....go figure....I had to take my truck off-road Saturday night through mud and a creek crossing...and my ear bleeding squealing seems to be gone...thanks D-Web.

Jason, have you checked your panhard rod bushings? might be something to look at.

Could it be that you ran over a pig and it's stuck between the axle and the hot exhaust ?
