Sillblade. You can get them a Expedition Exchange or your local napa. |

DII, 2000 i can't even understand how rover thought their factory blades where even worth anything, let alone making it difficult to find replacements. i bought the truck a few months ago, and it was snowing alot here, and there were times I had to pull off the road because the blades were freezing, even with the heated window on. i can't imagine how they would perform with swamp water on the windsheild... let alone mud |

hmmm, I just buy plain old winter blades. They seem to work the best. Cost about $12 a blade but the blades are wrapped in rubber so nothing can freeze or wedge itself into the blade. For those from Canada, they're the Canadian Tire Teflon winter blades. I keep a spare set in the truck in case the other ones break or something but haven't had that happen yet. |

I had the same problem on my 02. Went in to ask the ****** about winter blades because mine were freezing up. The parts guy told me that the winter blades were expensive, ugly looking, and you have to use theirs. What they are recommending are that DII owners switch the wiper arms out for the ones that come off a DI. That way you can use any aftermarket wiper refill. Initial cost he gave me around $60 for the arms, but at $30 bucks for the regular summer refills alone ($15 ea), it'll be cheaper in the end. Mike |

I have heard of Mike's suggestion before, but I also understand, you should be able to change the blade only with a re-fill, and not have to change the blade assembly. |

if you change to a DI arm, you have to know that blade is shorter than the DII. so you will clear less glass than you are accustomed to... fwiw mike |

I've got a 2001 DII. I replaced my wiper arms with the DI arms and bought 20" SilBlades. The 20" Blades are just a hair shorter than the stock DII blades, so you're still clearing just about the same amount of glass. This setup works great. -Tommy |
