Fairly new to the LR Experience and had a question on the windows and alarm that I am trying to figure out...(hope you guys haven't beaten this to death already).

The rear windows only go down half way and I don't see anything in the manual about that or if it is possible to change it. Anyone any ideas?

Also I just noticed that my wife parked it with the rear windows open, the alarm armed fine without a complaint and the windows were down overnight (in the garage). Is this normal or do I have sensor problems?

Cheers for the help.

If you look at your rear door opening, you'll notice that there isn't enough space to fit the entire window inside the door, so it's likely down as far as it'll go.

As to the alarm, the windows don't have sensors. If your DSII has the interior motion sensors (not present on all models), they work as intrusion detectors. However, they also act as flying insect sensors if you leave the windows open and arm the alarm, so I've disconnected mine.

Duh! The windows won't fit inside the door! Okay I'm ashamed to say this is a classic example of not thinking logically for a problem. Oh well. Thanks a lot Jim.

Ron, on my D2, I can arm the alarm with the windows craked or the sunroof open (hot days). However, as Jim mentioned air movement can set off the alarm if you have sensors. I have found if I lock the door with the key, all the doors lock, but the alarm and sensors are disabled.
