What type of lights will serve best for offroad after dark on my arb bumper?

Tyler,
I'm definately no expert on lighting, but Hella Rallye 3000's do the job just fine for me. My buddy's got an old school ARB and has the "8 IPF's and they fit pretty snug. Warn lights are definately too costly. It pretty much comes down to how much you want to spend, you get what you pay for in most cases.

I recently saw a set of Hella 500 driving lights on sale somewhere not sure I remember where. I was wondering how they stood up next to some of the other lights. They seemed low cost and I was worried about exactly that getting what you paid for and all.

As far as lights go would I be disapointed with a set of Hella 500s? Or will two of them work ok as a start?

I have been using Hella 500 on a few of my cars and I like them. What I do is I upgraded the bulbs when the originals burn out(which takes a long time) just to give a little more, but right out of the box they are great and at $69.00(I have bought every set at Pep Boys for some reason they sell them the cheapest) how can you beat them.

I have 3 Hella 500's on my brush bar right now, and they work wonderfully. I will be getting rid of them eventually, though, just because I'm going to a new bumper and want some 4000's. The 500's have been on for over 2 years with no problems.

you'll have to make some brackets to fit hella 4000's on the arb. Its not hard though and with a drill and some pieces of metal and some spray paint they are on.

Look at ebay. I have a set of hella 4000 eurobeam and they are awesome. I also have some hella 2000 fog lights and they are good. But look up hella on ebay and grab you some up.

I mounted a couple of Lightforce 270s on my ARB and I love 'em. They are a little on the visually overwhelming side because of their size, but they work phenomenally offroad. I like the "Mag light" adjustability and interchangeable lenses on them. And they fit the Arb w/o problems right out of the box.

Get Hella 4000's and don't look back. I have the driving lights with the city lamp and when I turn them off I feel like I'm driving by candle light. Don't cheap out. Get the real deal.

oh...and the Lightforces are 730k candle power each. If you want to drive with the lights on in traffic, the Lightforce's are too bright. If you are using them for offroad or on lonely deserted roads, they are incomparable.
