Just got my disco back from the dealer (95 with 78,000 miles) yesterday. They cleared the code 44 that showed by repalcing one O2 sensor. On the way home today the check engine light went on again, when I check the unit under my passenger seat it showed code44. Could the other O2 sensor have gone out or new the one fail that fast. The idle jumps when the engine reaches operating temp (500 rpm to 1000 rpm). I was planning on replacing the stepper motor this weekend. Will a stepper cause a code 44? I plan on talking to the dealer tomorrow. |
