I got my Disco back from the shop, I have been experiencing an intermittent hasitation, sometimes its fine some times it has a stutter. The shop is telling me the wires are arching. But I just replaced them a year ago. Is this normal? What causes arching?

yes it's common. what year disco? most LR owners go with the Magnecor wires. to check for arcking yourself, get a spray bottle that produces a fine mist and with the disco running in low light, mist around the wires. you should see arching on the wire/wires at fault. it still would be cheaper to replace the whole set rather than individual wires.
