Finally test-drove a Freelander, HSE, and had a good time! Would never trade the Disco, but I would really love to get one as a runabout. I was impressed by a few features though (and stunned by others....sunroof switch by the gear selector?!)...I wonder if you could mount the sunroof shade on a Disco? I really liked it with the slits in it--much better than those stupid sliding shades I have. Also, I wonder if the Freelander single disc CD player could be mounted in a Disco? Anyone know? |

I'm sure you could mount the Freelander's single CD player, I don't see why not; they are the same size... In fact, the NAV head you used in the HSE is the same NAV that is offered in the Disco HSE. I don't think the sunroof shade would fit, it's a very different roof, IIRC FWIW, my wife has a Freelander HSE, which IMO is the perfect compliment to my Disco. I love driving both. The Disco more, because it's mine, but the Freelander is a much better road car and an absolute hoot to own!! I think you should buy one to sit next to the disco, ours get along very well together! |

Sus, in 2004, the Disco S will have the same single disc unit that is in Freelander, so it is most likely compatible. |
