Well, now that my water pump and power window debacles have been solved (thanks Disco Web and Nathan Crabtree!), I'm having brake light problems. I do not have brake lights in the tail light "pods," but the high-mount (upper) light works fine. Truck goes to the dealer (gasp!) Monday, after my local guy couldn't or wouldn't dive in there. Anyone have: (1) Any suggestions on cause for some lights working and not others? Bulbs are good and connections are clean, but no power getting to bulbs; power is leaving the fuse though (2) Anyone have a wiring diagram for this system? Something that actually shows where connections / relays / etc. are located? Any help is greatly appreciated! |

yes i have a 97. exactly the same prob. have you towed a trailer recently? after we towed a trailer we lost both brake lights except for the one at the top of the back window. pull out your globes. they will be stuffed..we have replaced ours and no probs since.. |

No towing recently (or ever, for that matter)...I'll see if the wiring diagram means something to someone -- it's gibberish to me, but I'm sure it'll help... Thanks!
