I have a disco 96 300TDi. My mechanic has measured the turbo pressure using a T-joint between the turbocharger and the exhaust manifold when the car is static and at free acceleration. He found that the pressure has gone above 1 BAR which is beyond his maximum meter reading.
The turbocharger was replaced with a new one less than a year by the previous owner.
Is the turbo pressure > 1 BAR (The maximum rating by Landrover) doing any harm?
In fact I did not find any significant increase in torque or power of the car.
