D., the ride is next Saturday 06/28/03. There are plenty of hotels right around the area, I'm not too sure on camping there. If your not the destructive type, you can always crash here for free. Cost is $10 for the day at Windrock, or you can purchase an annual pass for $50. It should be a good time, didn't have one bad apple in the bunch last time out. Later.>RS

Robert,
I can't believe I'm missing ANOTHER Windrock! I'm training to be a wildfire fighter for the Forestry Service, and my Pack Test is that Saturday! Whoopee...just in time to head out to AZ.

I won't be able to make that one either. I am moving next weekend. Keep us posted on the next event.

Robert,

I would try and make it but Solaros is riding Rich Mountain next weekend due to the fact that the USFS is threatening to close it down in July.

I still have not made it to Windrock yet. Every weekend anyone goes I seem to have a scheduling conflict.

Hey Robb,
Why is USFS threating to close it? Due to damage/etc.? Are you guys doing a trail cleaning or something? Let me know if you go back here in the next few weeks and I'll be glad to come along and help do some cleaning if that is what is going on.
Sorry Zach and D. Chapman that you guys can't make it, we'll be back at Windrock in the near future yet once again I'm sure. We'll talk again soon.. RS

Hello Charles,
A stock D2 with no mods whatsoever went with us last time, on stock GoodYears even, and he made it everywhere we did. He did have a few small issues (air-dam got beat up, rear quarter got a little dented, but nothing serious). I imagine you would be able to make it fine with a little bit of caution and patience. And there are plenty of folks to lend a helping hand to ya when you're in need. Come on over.. RS

Sounds good. I have cut the air-dam off already. Also have a small dent in the rear quarter panel. As for patience I got tons. I will start making plans and will get back with you for directions when I get it all worked out. Charles

Sounds good Charles, I can definitely guide you here from Hendersonville.. I've made that trip who knows how many times.
