i mean, it's not cheap either, but when i bought my disco, i thought for sure that I could never mod it myself with basic tools, in my typical garage, let alone afford it, and the more I read this site, im beginning to see that nearly everything can be easily DIY, and you can do a nice complete mod for 5k approx. And thats a pretty nice one. am I missing something here? all my freinds laugh, and say I screwed myself by buying a LR with maintenance and cost. Of course, these are guys how watch fast and furious 5 times a week.

It takes blood, sweat, and tears...and a shit load of time. Study up on what you're doing (there is an awesome tech section on this BBS with about everything you ever wanted to know and then some), get some friends and some beer, and do it. There is no better way to learn about your truck than to work on it. And it gives a great feeling of self-worth when you accomplish it. |

I never worked on vehicles before my disco. Now I do everything myself except for welding and fabrication. For that stuff I use a company called SlickRock Fab. and Keith Kreutzer for special stuff. I buy a lot of used stuff if I can and i do all my own installatoin |
