Hello, The bottle jack that came with my Disco II is not working. When I was changing a tire on the side of the road last winter I accidentally let out too much on the release screw and let out some of the hydrolic oil. Now that I've tried to refill it I still can't get the jack to go up. I know it's a crappy jack, but I need it in case I'm stuck on the side of the road. Any advice on how to get the thing working is greatly appreciated. Thanks. |

Go buy a better one at the auto parts store! Make sure you find one that has enough height. Land Rover charges something like $250 for those stupid POS jacks so don't bother replacing it with genuine LR. |

You must still have some air in the jack. When you fill it try to keep the hole (where you fill the jack) facing up so it is the highest point. Allow it to sit in this position for awhile as the air bubbles take time to rise and come out.. ...worth a try?.. I have a floor jack in a case which is nice but bulky and I'm unable to hide or stash it well which is a slight hassel.. |

Fyi you can buy a 6-ton bottle jack at Home Depot for $20, a 20-ton for $50. |
