I've seen plenty of examples of Powertank & 4wheelair tank mounting for D1's, but what about D2's? I've not pulled any carpet up, but how are the D-rings mounted, and could one of them be sacrificed without drilling any holes? Any suggestions / pics for D2's are welcome. Thanks, John F Oh, it is a 10lb 4wheelair tank with the mount |

I mounted 2 10 lb powertanks to the left storage bin. I placed a metal plate on the inside and bolted the holders throught the side of the bin into the plate. Works great, lasts a long time. |

That's where I did it too, cept just one 10lb 4wheelair tank and I didn't go through the floor, just into the bin. Easy to take out and mount in the other truck that way too. |

When you are mounting in in the storage bin, you are removing the vertical/outer panel of that bin right? Have any of you done this on an '03? Do I just pull? I can see where the clips are but I cannot see how to release them. |

Not me. I left the bin panel, drilled four holes to match the mount. I mounted it near the back (door) close to the "strong" point of the bin panel. |

I was a little concerned about the strength of the bin panel, but after examining it a little closer, it looks like it should be strong enough. 4 bolts with large backing washers or a light plate looks good. I'd like to incorporate a shallow stand for 2 Wedco cans (one gas, one water) which I currently bungy to one of the bin doors so all 3 are on one side - I'll have to have my welder neighbor make up something that will work, eh? traveltoad Take the bin panel and lid off, a little pressure on the clips will release the tension they are under. The vent area by the door, pull that off, reach around behind the plastic, you should feel a metal brace back there. Drill into that to bolt your powertank mount. If you need to "see" it, drop me an email. Ron |

Thanks Ron. I may take you up on that. I just put a rack on the truck so I'll have to wait a couple pay checks! |
