It's been raining for a week solid here in Tampa. Yesterday I found a puddle of thick, orange sludge under the passenger side front end, almost right under the battery. What is this gunk? |

Besides battery acid or coolant, there is not much on that front side of the vehicle. The only other option is the grease/oil used in the swivel joints (those ball-like connectors from the drive shaft to the wheels) |

I'm not tasting that gunk! This is starting to worry me a little. I guess I'm going to have to take apart the batter compartment and see what's up. Maybe is just rust. |

Are you running the orange coolant? Seems the most likely culprit. |

Perhaps it is the coolant. I guess I'm going to have to take apart the battery compartment to see if it's not rust. Just another luxury of owning a Discovery! |
