dealer told me if hub is leaking grease we have to change the seal kit? says that the hub gets spotted and have to change the hub also.My hub is leaking grease. just came off an expedition and drove 200 miles!would their be damage like spotted hub like he said?.

hmm.. "hub" gets spotted? do you mena the swivel ball?

go to 100% grease in the swivel balls and do the seal kit and it will help prevent leaking. i would n't change the ball unless it would really getting bad.

tks rob! yes its the swivel ball that spots.Already has grease in them and one is leaking a little grease on the ball should i do the seal job only on that one?also told me that the cv joint can go? if it gets dry?makes sense.

If it is leaking then there is still grease in so CV joint should be fine in theory. I think they mean pitted which can happen, but happens more often due to corrosion, due to water in with the oil or grease. Turn your wheels hard and have a look for yourself. You can do the job in the driveway, its just a slow process, besides all your bearings will be freshly packed and you can check brake pads, clean ABS sensor if post 90 and a whole assortment of things. Definitley go with the grease, it is a one time deal. Also if they leak they definitely have to be replaced. Good luck.
