There is a small switch that is located to the front of the engine compartment on the driver's side. When the hood comes down it is depressed and covered by a black plastic cover. What is this switch for? The other switch I've seen is the one on the passanger side firewall I'm guessing this one is a reset for the fuel pump? |

the one on the pass side is the inertia switch. if you are in a big accident, the inertia switch will shut off the fuel pump, unlock the doors, and turn on the hazzard lights. or hitting a decient bump off road will activate it too. depressing the switch will reset the whole shebang... i imagine (without getting up and looking) that the other one is the hood sensor to arm the alarm. if the hood is not depressing that switch, then the alarm will not arm. or if it is armed, and the hood is opened, it will trigger the alarm. mine does not have a fridge...;) |

Thanks, the alarm switch that makes sense. I also don't have a fridge but I noticed tonight that the light in the clothes dryer goes on and off when I press that switch...lol |
