My driver's side rear door latch is getting stuck. The actual part that latches to the door jam won't close, leaving me with a door that won't shut. I took the door panel off and there is a little spring and a lever that seems to get stuck in the up position. When I push it down it works fine, but then every once in a while gets stuck again. Should I just replace the whole latch or is there something I can do to fix the problem once and for all?? |

Did you try lubing it up real good with penetrating oil or WD-40, then keep opening the door and pushing the pin down.. over and over until it loosens up... It might work?? |

Don't forget to lube the pivot points on the outside door handle. Use WD-40 with the little red straw. You might also have to remove the LR emblem from the handle to push the handle to the return position. Then move it back and forth several times. |
