So thia am, I'm checking the oil and spot a small switch up on the firewall over on the passenger side. Looks like a rubber covered push button of some sort, I fought the natural instinct to push it but now I need to know what its for. any ideas?

yeah, should be inertia switch. when you hit a bump hard, sometimes flashers begin to go off and fuel pump cuts out (thinking you are in an accident). When this happens, push that button and you are good to go.

Oh man I wanna go push the d@mn button.. I was hoping it might be a James Bond thing, you know passenger ejection seat, smoke screen, Howitzers out the back, but alas the wifey's got it out of town for a few days. Thanks for the feed back on inertia switch might be a good thing to know, stranded out in the boonies with the flashers go'in off.

That button was installed by the Acme Corporation in the limited edition Wyle E. Coyote model. It activates the turbojets hidden around the gas tank. Guaranteed to catch any Roadrunner!

Very Rare Rover!
