My 94 Disco 5-speed has started something new. Occasionally, with the air on full blast, the fan will stop blowing for a few seconds, then come back on. Anyone ever had this happen? |

Almost everyone I've ever met, including myself. Becomes second nature to tap the switch! |

That's the "flicker" position. Standard on all Lucas equipped vehicles. |

yes there is a repaire! first try some electrical contact cleaner. that should help in cleaning the contacts. ad some lubricant like wd-40 or k y jelly..this will help to make her slide easier. if that dosent work. remove it and take it to the work bench. breake, bust, crimble it and throw it at thw wall. this will help to remidie a doctors condition called complusive destructive.. than you will have to buy a new switch and install it, |

I know when this happened my first week of Disco Ownership, I asked the local LR Service manager, Nice guy (Charleston WV) he told me that if you put the fan on HI it will kick a relay that is built in so as not to overheat the fan motor. After a few seconds to a minute, the relay will reset itself and start working again. So now I just use postion 3 and it has never kicked off again. |
