My fiance and I will be in Colorado in August, spending a couple days with family in Pueblo.

We plan to spend the last night in Denver before our flight leaves early in the morning.

This will be our first and certainly not the last trip to Denver.

Can you locals suggest something to do while there? Also, is there anything of interest to see on the drive to and from Pueblo?

There is lots to do - what are you interested in?
Shopping? Sightseeing? Outdoor/mountain activities? Beer?

Royal Gorge is not that far from Pueblo. West on 50 I believe.

Plenty of hiking can be found on gorp.com.

The Denver Museum of Nature and Science has a new Space Odessey exhibit (have not seen it yet).

6 Flags Elich gardens is downtown.

Maybe a Rockies game, red rock concert, music/food in LoDo.

The pro-rodeo hall of fame is in Co Springs right off the highway (between Pueblo and Denver).

Hike or drive to top of Pikes Peak > 14,000 ft.

Garden of the gods is pretty close to I25 in Co Springs (cool rock formations), horseback ride through the park is fun.

If you only have one night in Denver, consider just roaming around LoDo.

Brian had a good list. Go to http://www.colorado.com/ and http://www.pikes-peak.com/ for more info. For good food I'd recommend Amanda's Fonda (Mexican) which on Colorado Avenue between Colorado Springs and Manitou Springs. Great food and margaritas.

Nice Brian, great list.

Another thing you might consider is signing on to the Land Rover Colorado mailing list before your trip. Cool, Rover-minded people located (or wishing they were) in Colorado. http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/landrovercolorado/
