what wheel and tire combo should I get for my 200o DII? I am a total novice at off-roading, but I want to be well prepared for when I do. I plan on doing at least a 3" OME lift, and I also can't stand silver or chrome wheels (thus making me really antsy to get rid of the ugly bubble chrome wheels that are factory!) I live in ohio, so terrain would be mainly mud, dirt, and rivers. also, where do I order these? I mainly want to do internet ordering. thanks |

Click "resources" up at the top and there are plenty of places to choose from.. Don't overlook Expedition Exchange for accessories, www.thatchedroofgarage.com www.discountrovers.com both offer many things with GREAT people on the other end of the phone line.. |

Jesse With a 3" lift you should easily fit 265/75R16's under there without any modifications. You may even go as far as 285/75 (the three digit # is the width but this also effect the overall diameter, 265 give you about 31" and 285 will give you over 32"). If you don't dig the alloys, you can always go the factory steels and have them powder coated matte black. Be careful though, wheels from a DI will not fit a DII. Also bear in mind that you will need at least 7" wide rims to fit these tyres. As for make of tyre, thats up to you and what ever you do, do NOT ask what brand is better on D-Web. Best to check out the galleries of DII owners, see what you like and see what you want to pay. My preference is for BF Goodrich, but thats me. You will find a heap of old posts in the archives, that should help you form an opinion. Good Luck and keep on truckin' gtt |

I'd say keep stock wheels and get some MT tires, but you sound like you want some black steel wheels. There are a few vendors of black steelies, someone will chime in with the best vendor, I'm sure. You're better off taking the rims to a local tire shop to buy & mount the tires (vs. having someone ship tires to you). Where in OH? |
