Anyone else experience hot start problems with their D1? If my '97 D1 is cold it starts right up. If I've been driving it, stop for ~20 minutes and get back in it, there are problems getting it to restart. Several cranks before it catches and starts. On rare occasions, right after it's been restarted, it even will produce serious valve knock when under full acceleration. Seems like a vapor-lock type of problem, but the valve knock tells me otherwise. After it starts and is run for a few minutes the problem is gone. Any ideas? |

I am getting the same type of problem and I think I might have a bad IAC. I am planning on replacing that unit this weekend I will let you know if that fixes the problem. |

I am having the same problem with a 94 disco. I think it is the fuel pump as the pressure is kinda low. Check out my other discussion threads for details. |

Actually, I had the dealer replace the fuel pump back in the fall as the problem was really bad then and this seemed to cure it along with a new set of plugs but the problem still persists. It only exists when the vehicle is hot and hasn't cooled down...zero starting problems first thing in the morning. |

it is your amplifier module located on your dist shaft. move it to another location, or buy a newer shaft that doesnt have the module. |
