Since it's located only 30 minutes north of our house, and at the place where we got married, Ivan and I are heading over to Camp Jeep tomorrow.
Although we know the owners of the property, I was advised that we absolutely could NOT bring a Rover ... so we are riding in with some friends in a Wrangler. Should be fun to see how the 'other half' do it...10,000 people expected in attendance!!! We'll take some pics and pass it on.

Is this "no Rover" thing pretty common? It seems a bit odd that that rule be so strict. The groups I've been with have usually been a mix of vehicles, with a fair number of Jeeps but quite a few Toyotas so I don't really understand what the big deal is.

Can someone enlighten me?

This is a Jeep/DaimlerChrylser factory-sponsored event. Hence no other makes.

Must be in Nelson County or close by. I'm tired of seeing all the wimpy jeeps drive by my house saying "Official Trail Leader"

Ok guys, we went on Saturday and I must say...although the damn event is EXPENSIVE...they thought of EVERYTHING! We took tons of pics and amazingly enough, did see one other Rover there! I'll post more stories and info after lunch!

I would think say the jeep broke and you had to take the rover. That would be ironic eh?

Sus - i wanna see those pics sometime. i REALLY wanted to go this year, but i couldn't afford the registration fee and my Jeep needs a windshield and tires before it's streetable/wheelable. since i missed this event, i'm going to make a concerted effort to make it to MAR this year. i miss wheeling. :-(

I am sooooo ready for MAR! The trails that we did at Camp Jeep (albeit supervised and GUIDED!) were NOTHING like MAR!!!

Mantaray, I'll email you the pics.
