Hi guys,

Today I went to the dealer and wish they can fix my power steering leak. You know what? they ask me $927.00 to replace a new box. $550 for the new part and rest for the labor. My god, I remember someone posted before it's no more then $500.00. If I buy the part, is it very difficult to replace it myself? My truck is 95 DiscoI.

sorry guys. I searched archives and find a lot of posts about steering seals and box. I will read them one by one. Ignore it if this post wastes your bandwidth.

Check your hoses real good, might just be a leaky hose or maybe just a loose clamp, if not here is the link to the reman units:

Could also try some of that Lucas stop leak stuff, or adding some brake fluid to the resovior, some people have had luck with this method.

Where exactly is the leak? I've had several problems with mine. Maybe I can help. Check the metal fittings on the steering box. Those are notorious for leaking.
