I have a 96 SE-7. I am trying to install a homelink module. In the conslole just abov the mirror(where the homelink is to be installed)there are three wires connected to a factory harness. These wires are white with a green stripe, black w/brown strip and black. I do not seem to be getting power to this harness. Yes ive turned the key on. Any ideas as to which wires are which (i.e. hot, ground etc.)? |

The black wire is almost certainly the negative lead, and one of the other ones should be positive, but only hot when the ignition is on. |

Seems to be the way that Rovers go - they need to have the ignition on or even started to show power (like the brake lights). Get a cheap 12v tester (the ones with the little light in the clear plastic handle) and poke the wire connectors to narrow down where the 12v is. |
