I'm not sure if this occured because I shampood the engine, but now my ABS light is on and the bloody thing was stuck in park. I finally got it into drive after 15-20 min. Anybody have any ideas as to what may be the problem/solution. Is has stuck since and once before- but only breifly. |

The only thing that comes to mind is the brake switch.. If there is a problem with the brake switch you won't be able to get the truck out of Park. Before mine went I had a few experiences where I had to depress the brake pedal good and hard to get it to work but it finnally went.. I think there is a post somewhere on how you can by pass the switch if it finnally goes and leaves you stuck somewhere...if i find it I''l post it for ya.. |

Also you can switch the connector for the brake for the HRW, and control the brake switch and interlock using the HRW switch |

Thanks that would be great Phil ! I am concerned about my wife getting stranded somewhere when she drives the Disco -(if the problem persists) |

hrw = heated rear window. Open the rear door and switch one of the HRW connectors with the brake light connector. Best to get the connection thats positive not negative for obvious reasons! Now the third brake light takes power from a different switchable source....temporary solution only! |

A brake sensor may have come loose during the wash. There are four wires coming from the switch two white striped and two green striped. Jump the two green wires to get out of park. |
