I live in upper Michigan and there is alot of sand here and I was wondering on what your opinions are on the sizes, Is there really that much difference in sandy soil, if I was still in northern ontario I would get the 235's but here I am not sure. Please pro and con me please... Ross Thoma |

Tire pressure is more important in sand than either of these two sizes, which imho are both fine for sand |

For what it's worth, the 235s are cheaper at tirerack.com You might want to check with the defender folks about performance in sand. I think 235/85 are stock on the 110s |

tire pressure matters a lot in sand because it creates more of an area that each tire is in contact. so if youre driving in sand a lot... 265/75's with low pressure would win the battle. but then you have to deal with the rubbing. however, i have 235/85 Bridgestone MT's and have run them in loose sand at full pressure without a problem. |
