It seems like the vote this year by my high school buddies (1992 HS graduate) will be to travel to Philly for our annual Saints road trip.

Few questions for you PA guys:

1. Will it be in Veterans Stadium or a new stadium?

2. Is it hard to get tickets to Philly games?

3. Where is the best hotel to stay? I would think we care more about the proximity to bars than to the stadium unless that is, it is like a college football atmosphere around the stadium the weekend of the game.

4. What are some good bars or strip joints?

I am actually excited to go to hostile territory. Prior year was Carolina where they are very well behaved. I do not know how their players could get excited about a home game.

Back to Philly...my friends interacting with Eagle fans is a recipe for disaster. That's alright though. We will be on them like a pit bull on a pre-schooler.

LOL. Oh Boy, here we go......

1. Should be the new stadium. Unless they aren't going to make the schedule. If not, stay away from the 600 level at the Vet. But then again, if you are looking for a good fight, a visit to the judge, or any other type of circus act; then maybe the 600 level is good for you.

2. Yes, if you are on outsider. Since you are in Georgia; read the classifieds of the Philly Enquirer for people selling tickets. Check out ticketmaster and the Eagles home page. Send beer and Rover goodies to the Philly Crowd on this board and they might steer you in the right direction. Philly is a hardcore football town and those tickets are gold.

#3 If you want to stay close to the sporting complex, then stay at the Airport Embassy Suites. They have decent weekend packages and are close enough to cab it for operations under the influence :-) There are great hotels in the city, but very pricey.

#4 The list is endless. But it all depends on where you end up staying. If you stay in the South Philly area by the airport there are plenty of bars to take care of the mission. Bootleggers and The Lagoon for normal bars. In the city there are a lot of great Irish pubs and down by the water on Columbus there are some clubs that will blow your mind away. Check out www.phillytown.com for all of you bar needs. Now for strip clubs......Man oh Man there are some quality clubs in philly. Delilah's Den is the most famous. But the best are the seedier joints down by the docks. Consult your hotel concierge for this important information.

As far as Carolina Goes....Well Dude, they suck. I am back in the Carolinas again and the only pro games I'll go watch are the Hurricanes (NHL).

Hope this helps.

Thanks Paul. Looking forward to meeting you at SAE. When the Philly plans are definite I will ask more questions or dig deeper about tickets.
