I have a 94 Disco and the dash piece above the the instruments is loose and rattles bad with any vibration. I've heard that this is an issue with older discos. Does anybody have a good fix. sean |

most disco rattles are features. they let you know that either the truck is a) running or b) moving. the best fix is a bigger amp for the radio and some speed rock. as ministry says: jesus built my hot rod. play it loud. mike |

I have a 95 disco that was doing the same thing. I just found where it was rattling and then took the dash piece off and put gasket material between the parts. Easy fix took 10 min if that. rattling drives me f*^king crazy good luck. |

Thank you all for the great suggestions, too bad my 2 year old doesn't like loud speed metal (yet) But I will try the gasket. I hate rattles too. |

I have a 99 D2 with a rattle somewhere in the the right side of the dash. Or maybe the plate/cover that runs the length of the windshield where the wiper arms attach. Its a rattle/creek noise like two plastic pieces that need to learn how to hold together and get along. Ever had a plastic bag or paper rusttling around when you have the windows down? or anything shloshing around making noise in the cargo area while you are driving?....I stop and pull over for these things. It drives my wife nuts |

John, I know what you're saying, it drives your wife nuts when she rides in mine too. :0) I have a different sound that drives me nucking futs. When I stop at a redlight and then begin to go again, I can hear fluid (coolant I think). It sounds like it is on the right side of the engine. The noise sounds like something draining from one place to another. John, I didn't notice this sound last weekend when I rode in yours. Any ideas? How's the dog? |
