Does anyone have a pic of someone with a Disco (or other model of LR/RR) with all 4 lights tabs being used? I am curious what a set of IPF's (or another round light) would look on the two upper tabs.
Regards,
-Luke

From my understanding, IPF800 - Rectangle is designed to fit the upper tabs. Others on this site have fitted with IPF 900 with some modification. Here is the pic.

I thought that the upper two tabs were designed antenna mounts for our Aussie brothern. Seems to me that installing lights on those upper tabs would restrict some of your field of view.....

that was my understanding as well Paul.

my 1 tab is on the left which would be great for an antenna mount if RHD which is in Australia. my friend's ARB on his Disco has 1 tab on the right which is great for mounting the antenna on a LHD. Then there is another Disco that has 2 tabs and the guy has mounted his jack on it.

doesn't appear to have any rhyme or reason.

Thanks for the input guys. I have seen people running all sorts of lights on the ARB Bar, yet haven't seen many people doing anything with the upper tabs. It seems like a rectangualr style light could be mounted and wouldn't impede vision that much, though maybe not the most practical set up. My reasoning behind the twin setup was to provide 2 spots and 2 fogs without the use of a roof rack. At this point, the stance of the Disco with the lift and 265/75 impedes its clearance of older garages and a rack would completely make parking in doors out of the questions. As I have to work at mutliple client sites, parking is somewhat at a premium and my vehicle not fitting in a garage could be an issue. Thanks for your input and I will keep on looking around.

I have a pair of Hellas mounted on the top two tabs. It really doesn't occlude vision too much, but does look kinda redneck with them up there, though.

In spite of what "They" might tell you, a pair of Hella 500s will not fit in the lower portion of my bumper.

I was gonna put some hella 450's on my top tabs and wire them up to my factory fog switch and use the factory wires. Haven't done it yet though.

I have been told that the upper tabs are to support a fold out roof/tent assembly.

In the Land Down Under we tend to use the top tabs for antenna mounts. If you use them for spotties you may run the risk of being picked up by the authorities for over crowding the front of end with lethal weaponry.
There is a big crack down on Bull (Roo) Bar's on 4x4s in Australia and just how much shit and the positioning of all the shit.
Some Dick Heads load up there Bull Bar's and drive around town all the time ,never going Bush.
Others, Fishermen (Dick Heads) put fishing rod hollers on there bar's and go fishing once in a blue moon.
Thing is they leave all this Crap on when the Wife take's the 4x4 shopping and some pedestrians have been impaled.
Keep it neet
Noel
