It is sad. I went to motors ltd.com to buy what i thought was an official LR IAC... well when i got it, i put it in and it didnt work. when i compared it to my original LR IAC, i noticed the new had "MADE IN MEXICO" on it. like DUHH??

since when has Mexico joined th EU?

well, i am tired of dealing with LR and i am selling my disco for a montero sr. any buyers? make me an offer. 904-301-4793

my d1 idles at 500rpms at the lowest, but fluctuates between 750 and 500 depending on its mood.

John, forget about that Disco, it idles anywhere between 500 and 750. Obviously, it can't be repaired.
Do you want to buy a toaster though? Mine has the knob set to "Dark" but I like my toast "Light" so I'm gonna go buy a different one.

Montero? How bout a nice Pontiac Aztec?

Those things are sweet! And so aerodynamic too! They are kinda tough to find because they sold so well...

(extra helping of lighthearted sarcasm, please.)

Hang in there dude! Read my recent post about my brake lights... I said the very same thing about ditching my LR and buying something else. Fortunately there is a great group of people here willing to share their knowledge and ready to laugh alongside you. Remember the motto: It's not a piece of junk - it's "quirky!"

Say it with me...

Hey tool man, I know someone selling a Montero in Denver. If you're serious, shoot me an email and I'll put you in contact with her.

hey jim h-

my d1 is a 95.

as far as i know, the idle is within range. anything below 500rpm is bad.

or for you who cant read the rpm guage.. the first bold line is zero, the second bold line is 500, the third (midpoint)line is 750, and then the next bold in 1,000rpm
