Any DII ARB owners here? I need some ideas on where i can hide this ARB compressor. I would prefer it under the hood, but space seems limited. Any ideas?

Thanks,
Eric

The D1 has the LR bottle jack right be hind the driver's side head lamp. My ARB fits nicely there. You have to carry the jack in the truck, but it's a lot quieter than a compressor.

Hope this helps for DII's

For something with a little more Ommph for tires as well as the ability to power an arb check out the viair products their 325/350 look like well sized units for that spot.

My compressor is located in rear storage bin - driver's side. Controls for comp. and f/r lockers are mounted by the diff. lever (in the space for the 4WD Hi/Lo sticker)... can send you pix. A bit noisy when its used, but convienent placement.

Thanks for the replys, I hope to fit it where the jack is stored. It seems to be a tight fit, will require some cutting of the plastic batery/jack compartment.

Keep in mind that a compressor likes to stay cool and it lasts longer this way. FYI.

I actually was able to fit it where I intended, where the bottle jack is stored. It is a nice fit with mild cutting. I was actually wondering if the heat of the engine would be a concern. I guess it is a little late now. How exactly will the heat affect the compressor? just curious what to watch for.
