ok this may well be a stupid question but are the rovers nuts and bolts metric or standard. in the little i have done i have encountered both.

I want to upgrade my tool set with a decent set of wrenchs. should i be buying metric or standard?

Jason:
You will find that most of the body and suspension related fasteners are metric, yet most of the engine parts are attached with imperial threaded fasteners. I believe that all of the fasteners that thread into the engine are imperial, yet many of the ancillaries are metric.

Buy both and make sure you only buy Snap-On, otherwise, this will turn into a 500 post thread arguing over cheap tools, the merits of one expensive tool over another and the obligatory poor taste comment that then erupts into name calling and personal attacks.

Just do it!

Peace,
Paul

Snap On? Snap On? Only pussies use Snap On!
Go with Craftsman unless your doctor is an OB/GYN!

You mean like that Paul? :-)

Then you would need Strap-On, not Snap-On

i used to buy nothing but snap on, that was until i bought my first Ducati, it like my LR often leaves me so pissed off that i fail to find where the tool landed after venting. so now if i get pissed i forget about it.
