Just bought a '99 DII w/ only 37k. Looks and runs beautifully, but should I be on the look out for any known issues with this first year DII?
Thanks in advance, folks.

At four years old the teething troubles (radiator for one) should have been sorted by now.
Count yourself lucky, you can add a center diff lock for little money :-):-)

Tom,
I have had problems with the radiator, valves sticking, sun roof rails, ABS/ETC. My biggest problem is that nearest dealer is 300 miles away. However, off road perfromace is great. I STRONGLY recommed the extended LR warranty if the truck doesn't have one. The warranty is a little pricey, but it is a very good (exclusive) warranty. To qualify to purchase one, however, you must have at least one month remaining on the original warranty. This is based on the date that the truck was placed into service. If you don't know this date, any LR dealer can look it up with your VIN number. Welcome to the club and definately add the CDL; it helps alot when off roading. Do a search if you are not hip on center diff locks. BTW, I have an extra CDL lever kit if you decide to go that way.
David
