I've read the archives on the ACE warning lite turning on & chiming during stop & go traffic. Has this been confirmed as caused by hi temperatures in the engine compartment? Mine lit up while towing a trailer for the Lions Club (flag service on the Fourth),lots of stop & go and it was over 100 degrees in Red Bluff. It occured several times, but I corrected it by turning off the engine and let it cool for a few minutes. Is it serious enough to drive 180mi. to the dealer? I got only 4600mi and I'm trying to wait out til the 1st service call at 7500mi.

well...i am not sure about the above being a temp related issue, but i will relate my ACE debacle... i lost the seal on my ACE pump and (fortunately within half a block of my house) it pumped out all the fluid. all over the hot engine. i left it outside that night as i was afraid the fluid might catch fire and i did not want that going on in the garage. if it were me, i would get it checked out. aside from that, i have had no other problems with it. good luck, mike |

Mine came on during stop-and-go traffic, also. The dealership advised me to come in as soon as possible. They replaced the ACE Control Unit and it has not come on since, no matter what type of traffic conditions. Good Luck, Gerry |
